Hazelnut Cake - GLUTEN AND LACTOSE FREE
“Torta alle Nocciole” is a very typical Piedmont sweet treat that used to be prepared in Langa (Piedmont hills famous for wine production) for Christmas to use all the remaining hazelnuts after the summer harvest. Today, thanks to its taste which everyone can appreciate, it’s an all year round specialty.
Its crumbly but soft texture makes it perfect to combine with a sweet cream (zabajone or gianduja) and with a glass of a still sweet white wine, like Moscato.
